When Matt told Brad he was going to recount the quotes that made headlines, Brad abruptly stuck out his hand and said, "No... please don't read it. Because... I don't read these things by choice, I don't. I don't want to be encumbered by any of that."
The famous dad continued, "I know my intentions, and I know what I believe, and I know things get misconstrued. I live outside of that, and it's much healthier."
Brad did admit that this uproar has taught him to be more cautious in his interviews. "I don't want to live on guard, but I should be more on guard, I guess. It's always been a part of the territory. I've got a knack for stepping into sh**. And it's okay. It's alright."
