Katherine Heigl's Pet Cause Gains a New Member
The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation has hired Kathy Davis as its Executive Director, effective Monday, September 5.
The foundation was founded by Nancy and Katherine Heigl to celebrate the memory of a wonderful son and brother. The mission of the JDHF is to eliminate the needless suffering inflicted on animals by human cruelty, indifference and ignorance.

Katherine and Nancy Heigl released a statement, saying, "We are thrilled to have someone as experienced and compassionate as Kathy Davis join the foundation and serve as the voice of our 'Compassion Revolution.' We are confident that her leadership, experience and tireless work ethic will guide the foundation toward meeting our ultimate goal: ending the needless suffering of companion pets."

In pursuit of that mission, the JDHF routinely develops and supports free and/or low cost spay/neuter programs and transport program partnerships with reputable rescue organizations and humane societies.
