Bring on the celebrity weddings! Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson, Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy, and Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are all getting hitched!
The first couple to walk down the aisle is Kim and Kris, who are reportedly inviting more than 500 guests to their picturesque Montecito, Calif. location on August 20.
The reality star is said to have two Vera Wang dresses for the big day, one for the ceremony and reception. St. Pucchi designer Rani Totman speculates Kim K's gown could have crystal beading, jeweled straps and sweep train, similar to the St. Pucchi dress Totman picked out, which costs around $8,000.
Making her trip down the aisle for the second time, Jessica Simpson claims she's no bridezilla. Rani chose a $2,000 mermaid style gown made of silk chiffon, with a jeweled bodice and sweetheart neckline, saying, "I thought of Jessica Simpson when I designed this dress. Even though she lives in Hollywood, she's still a Southern belle."
Recognizing Kate Hudson's "amazing bohemian style," Totman predicts the new mom will wear a gown similar to the $3,750 St. Pucchi Alencon Lace mermaid dress with a plunging "V" front neckline and slit open back, with a satin sash tied at the waist.
Wedding Channel editor Amy Eisinger believes Hudson's second wedding "might be a bit smaller, a little more intimate."
Another celebrity mom to soon say "I do" is Natalie Portman, who is engaged to her "Black Swan" choreographer Benjamin Millepied. Eisinger said, "Natalie and Benjamin have had trouble picking where they will want the ceremony to happen... whether they want it to happen in Israel or they want it to happen here in the states."
But since the couple just celebrated the birth of their first child together, Eisinger added, "I wouldn't be surprised if Natalie decided to include a few baby items on her registry."
