'Bridesmaids' Sashays into Theaters This Weekend

'Bridesmaids' (May 13)

Who: Kristen Wiig, Rose Byrne, Maya Rudolph, Melissa McCarthy, Ellie Kemper, Wendi McLendon-Covey; directed by Paul Feig What: A comedy centered on two women (Wiig and Byrne) battling to plan their friend's wedding party.

'Hesher' (May 13)

Who: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Natalie Portman, Rainn Wilson, Devin Brochu; directed by Spencer Susser What: Hesher is a loner. He hates the world and everyone in it. He has long greasy hair and homemade tattoos. He is malnourished and smokes a lot of cigarettes. He likes fire and blowing things up. He lives in his van — until he meets TJ (Brochu).

'Priest' (May 13)

Who: Paul Bettany, Karl Urban, Maggie Q, Cam Gigandet; directed by Scott Charles Stewart What: A priest disobeys church law to track down the vampires who kidnapped his niece.

'Everything Must Go' (May 13)

Who: Will Ferrell, Rebecca Hall, Laura Dern; directed by Dan Rush What: When Nick loses his wife and his job in one day, he holds a yard sale on his front lawn in an attempt to start over. A new neighbor might be the key to helping him out.

'Thor' (May 6)

Who: Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba, Ray Stevenson, Kat Dennings, Stellan Skarsgard; directed by Kenneth Branagh What: "Thor," the latest Marvel comic book adaptation follows the powerful but arrogant warrior Thor (Hemsworth), who is stripped of his superpowers and cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard to live on Earth. Once there, he warms up to his new environs and soon becomes the humans' defender when angry gods come calling.

'Something Borrowed' (May 6)

Who: Ginnifer Goodwin, Kate Hudson, John Krasinski, Colin Egglesfield; directed by Luke Greenfield What: Friendships are tested and secrets come to the surface when single Rachel (Goodwin) admits she has a crush on her old law school pal Dex (Egglesfield) and things begin to heat up. This causes a problem since Dex is set to marry Rachel's best friend Darcy (Hudson).

'The Beaver' (May 6)

Who: Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster, Jennifer Lawrence, Anton Yelchin, Cherry Jones; directed by Jodie Foster What: A troubled husband and executive adopts a beaver hand-puppet as his sole means of communicating.

'Jumping the Broom' (May 6)

Who: Angela Bassett, Paula Patton,Laz Alonso, Loretta Devine, Meagan Good, Tasha Smith, Mike Epps, DeRay Davis; directed by Salim Akil What: Two very different families converge on Martha's Vineyard one weekend for a wedding.
