Inside 'Jersey Girls': The Book
Mighty hair, big mouths, the wild cast of "Jersey Housewives" and "Jersey Shore" have America obsessed with all things Jersey! Adding to the craze is a new book called "Jersey Girls: The Fierce and Fabulous," that profiles some famous Jersey girls in exclusive interviews, with a focus on Jersey culture.
Authors Marie Moss and Barri Leiner Grant say Jersey girls have "an attitude that's fearless," with a chapter in the book dedicated to "tawk." The authors reveal the typical accent a person from Jersey might have. "I think 'dawg' is a giveaway, 'cawfee' and 'draw'... like open the 'draw' in the dresser."
