Russell Brand on 'Arthur': 'He's a Lunatic and Womanizer'
"Extra's" AJ Calloway caught up with the big stars of "Arthur" at its premiere in NYC Tuesday night. Russell Brand compared himself to his character and described Arthur as a "crazy, fun-loving, lunatic, womanizing cad like I used to be before I got married."
The comedian said he is "happily married" to wife Katy Perry and would sacrifice everything for love -- like the song by Meat Loaf. "I haven't been watching 'Celebrity Apprentice' but I've heard he's [Meat Loaf] being eccentric," Brand said.
Jennifer Garner plays Russell's love interest and gushed about co-star Helen Mirren. "Oh look, Helen Mirren's here. You have to take a moment because she's so glamorous and beautiful. I always have to stop and have a moment when I see her."
Mirren posed for the flashing lights wearing head-to-toe Lanvin. The respected actress joked that working with Russell Brand was a "nightmare," adding, "I think in some other universe, like on the planet Zod, Russell and I have had a relationship."
Quench your thirst for "Arthur," sloshing into theaters April 8.
