"Mad Men" star Jon Hamm believes the Mel Gibson scandal is "obviously a difficult situation."
"I hope it works out for the best for all the parties involved," Hamm told "Extra" at the red carpet premiere of "Mad Men's" fourth season, adding, "What do men say when you ask that?"
Hamm got his first big break starring with Gibson in "We Were Soldiers." Now he's nominated for his third Emmy for his portrayal of the dapper Don Draper on the hit AMC show, which grabbed an astounding 17 nominations in all.
Hamm's co-star, Elizabeth Moss, who plays sweet Peggy Olsen, also told "Extra" who her dream love interest would be on the show. "You know I wouldn't mind me some Gerard Butler. I think he's an attractive fellow."
"Mad Men" premieres on AMC Sunday, July 25.
