Betty White to Host the Academy Awards?
After a successful Facebook campaign to get Betty White to host "Saturday Night Live," fans are banding together for another campaign -- Get Betty White to Host the Academy Awards.
The new Facebook fan page has already generated 18,702 members since launching Sunday night. Although this may sound far-fetched, the former "Golden Girl" definitely proved on "SNL" that she's got the goods and can pull in big ratings.
The 88-year-old thanked her Facebook fans during her opening monologue on "SNL" and even poked fun at them. "I didn't know what Facebook was," White said, "Now that I do know what it is, I have to say, it seems like a huge waste of time."
