Confirmed: Michael Jackson Memorial Service
AEG and Jackson family spokesperson Ken Sunshine have announced the preliminary details of the public memorial service celebrating the life of Michael Jackson. The service will officially take place on Tuesday, July 7 at 10:00 AM at the Staples Center in L.A.
Fans will have the opportunity to register online for free tickets to the event. Free tickets will also be available for a simulcast broadcast across the street at the Nokia Theatre. No tickets will be sold for the memorial service.
Winners will be drawn at random. "It was our wish to allow as many of Michael's fans to be part of the memorial, and we wish to thank everyone for their support and understanding at this difficult time," said the Jackson Family.
