Brown Investigated for Battery, Pulls Out of Grammys
Singer Chris Brown, 19, is being investigated after an unidentified woman accused the R&B singer of domestic violence felony battery.
The Los Angeles Police Department stated that Brown and the woman got into an argument in a vehicle in Hancock Park early Sunday morning -- and that Chris and the woman both exited the car when their argument escalated.
According to LAPD, the woman has identified the "Forever" singer as her attacker. Officers who responded to the complaint say Brown wasn't at the scene.
Chris has pulled out of his performance at the 2009 Grammy Awards tonight.
Brown's girlfriend Rihanna has just announced that she will no longer be performing at the awards show. When "Extra" asked a rep for the "Disturbia" singer about reports that Rihanna pulled out of her performance because of a car accident, the rep replied, "Rihanna is well. Thank you for concern and support."
UPDATE: Brown and Rihanna were snapped leaving Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy party in a Lamborghini -- the picture above was taken at approximately 12:20 AM, 10 minutes before the alleged incident took place.
UPDATE: According to TMZ, Brown has turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department, pending further investigation into the felony accusations.
