Oscar Nominees Announced!
The 2009 Oscar nominees have been announced! Which Tinseltown stars made the cut?
"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" is the leader in the Oscar race with 13 nominations, including Best Picture. The epic love story, starring Brad Pitt, is closely followed by "Slumdog Millionaire" -- the sleepy Indian hit that nabbed the Golden Globe for Best Picture -- with 10 nominations.
"Milk" and "The Dark Knight" both scored 8 nominations, including a posthumous nod for Heath Ledger as Best Supporting Actor for his work as the maniacal Joker in the Batman flick. Ledger died of an accidental drug overdose one year ago today.
