Hayden's Dad Charged with Misdemeanor Battery
Hayden Panettiere's father Alan has been charged with misdemeanor battery following an alleged assault on his wife, "Extra" has learned. His arraignment is set for Oct. 11 in Beverly Hills.
In August, the starlet's pop was popped for allegedly hitting wife Lesley at his West Hollywood home, reportedly in a fit of jealousy. Hayden told "Extra" it was "blown out of proportion by a sheriff who wanted his fifteen minutes of fame." She insisted, "My family is wonderful -- so very happy. We're all great."
Alan faces up to a year in jail if convicted.
