Caine: Heath Will Get Oscar Nod
Critics aren't the only people who are deeming Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker as Oscar-worthy -- actor Michael Caine shares the same admiration for his late co-star, reports People magazine.
"I think Heath will surely get a posthumous nomination for an Academy Award," said Caine. "He was incredible -- he was amazing. I think he will get it. It's an incredible performance."
Even Batman himself had only singing praise for Ledger. Christian Bale recently opened up to "Extra" about working with Heath, saying, "He's pure joy at what he did and what damn good company he was...I want people to celebrate his talent."
"The Dark Knight" hits theatres July 18.
