A-Rod Strikes Out at Marriage
Both Alex Rodriguez and Madonna deny any romantic relationship, but that hasn't stopped the Yankee star's wife, Cynthia, from filing for divorce from A-Rod -- with his $500 million baseball fortune at stake.
In court papers filed this morning in Miami, the mother of two claims that her slugger hubby engaged in "extramarital affairs" -- and that he "emotionally abandoned" Cynthia and their two children, Natasha, 3, and Ella, 3 mos. -- which prompted the blonde mom to request primary custody of the girls.
While Cynthia's lawyers don't implicate the Material Girl in their divorce filing, they told NY papers this morning that Madge's relationship with A-Rod was the proverbial last straw. Sources also dish that Cynthia feels that the Material Girl brainwashed Rodriguez with Kabbalah -- which Madonna denies.
The couple's rocky marriage made headlines last year when Alex was scrutinized for his relationship with stripper Joslyn Morse.
