It was a big surprise when Julia Roberts she showed up with her sister for the NYC premiere of "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl." Julia and big sis Lisa Gillan produced the movie together, and the twosome gave "Extra" the inside scoop. Julia said, "I was giving birth to my youngest son a year ago yesterday, and Lisa did all the hard work and I'm just showing up at the party."
The movie is based on the "American Girl" doll phenomenon that has swept the nation, and it's a perfect movie for mothers and daughters to see together. But Roberts, mom to 1-year-old son Henry and 3-year-old twins Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus "Finn" Walter, says daughter Hazel is not quite into dolls yet. "She's too young," the actress told our cameras.
The film's star, 12-year-old Abigail Breslin, gushed about her love for the American Girl dolls. "I had all of the dolls, and Kit was always one of my favorites, so I was really excited to get to play her." Co-star Willow Smith, 7-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, attended the premiere with mom, as dad was at the Moscow premiere of "Hancock."
