‘Idol’ Girls Give Guys a Run For Their Money
The top 12 female singers rocked "American Idol" at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood last night.
"It's all about the young ones this year," judge Randy Jackson said.
Called "the little girl with the big voice," Ramiele Malubay impressed the judges with her rendition of Dusty Springfield's "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me."
Alaina Whitaker, who turns 17 this week, was another panel favorite.
"Please don't send me home on my birthday!" she pleaded to viewers before taking the stage to sing "More Today Than Yesterday."
Judges Randy, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul repeatedly took swings at the performers and each other. In fact, it appeared that Randy and Paula were sitting farther away from Simon!
Simon also seemed annoyed at several contestants' admission that they were suffering from the flu, insisting that the show must go on.
Sick or healthy, two contestants will be packing their bags for the results show tonight.
