Backstage Moments at the SAG Awards
Nothing could stop the Screen Actors Guild awards tonight - not the rain, the writers strike or even a power outage!
Just 30 minutes into the star-studded ceremony and with just three trophies presented, the power went out in L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium. Since the microphones weren't working, the crew simply shouted the names of the winners in each category!
In all, the power went out six times, but that didn't stop the stars from shining. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt sent fans into a screaming frenzy as they strolled the red carpet, and Angie's flowing gown did nothing to stop rumors that she's expecting. Her brown dress was so large that it looked similar to the ones Jennifer Lopez was wearing to conceal her growing bump!
Earlier this month, X17online.com reported that Angie and Brad, who have made no secret of their desire to have at least a dozen little ones, were expecting twins.
Eva Longoria, on the other hand, put baby rumors to rest with her tight white gown. There wasn't a bump to be seen in her stunning backless number.
George Clooney was a surprise no-show despite being nominated for Best Actor. But Tom Cruise brought the star power to the stage to present "No Country For Old Men" with the Best Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture award.
Javier Bardem, who sent chills down the spine of moviegoers in the film, told "Extra" that preparing for his role as a killer took some deep thought.
"Well there's always someone you want to kill at some time in your life, so you think about that person!" he joked.
"The Sopranos," in continuing their season-ending winning streak, went out with a bang with Acting and Ensemble wins.
"I cannot believe it," Tony Sirico told "Extra" backstage. "I guess we really were good!"
SAG and Golden Globe winner Tina Fey finally got a chance to celebrate her huge year. Clutching her statue backstage, she told "Extra," "He's beautiful!"
Presenter Kate Hudson joined "Extra" backstage with her "Fool's Gold" star Matthew McConaughey, where she gave him some advice on fatherhood.
"I think he's going to be a great father," she said, though she had to give him a lesson in baby lingo.
"He didn't know what a onesie was!" she said. "And I was like, 'We got a ways to go.'"
Added Matt, "I've got a feeling I'll find out what a onesie is."
