Britney's Lawyer Wants to Quit
Britney Spears' lawyer in her custody battle has quit, citing a "breakdown of communication" between the firm and the pop star.
High-powered attorney Sorrell Trope filed papers today asking the court for permission to be relieved from representing Britney. He writes that the so-called "breakdown" of communication is "making further representation of her interests impossible."
This is the third lawyer to quit in Britney's custody battle.
The documents also reveal that five depositions are scheduled for January. Britney already missed one, saying that she was "too sick" to attend. Kevin Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan blasted the move to "Extra," saying, "It's not like fourth grade where you get a doctor's note and it's all OK."
Among those set to be deposed is Britney's former bodyguard Anthony Baretto, who has alleged that Britney has "mental problems" and a problem with drugs.
