TV's New McDreamy on Kissing Kate Walsh
He's the charming new doc ready to rock primetime in "Private Practice.”
In fact, there's so much buzz about the “Grey's Anatomy” spin-off that TV Guide picked Tim Daly and co-star Kate Walsh for next week's cover.
Tim, as handsome as ever at age 51, stopped by our “Extra” studio, where he opened up about kissing Kate in the “Private Practice” pilot.
“Whenever you kiss someone on screen there's always this uncomfortable moment where you go like, 'Okay, are we going to be tongue kissing here or is that going to be the hors d'oeuvre you did not order,'” he admitted. “But in this particular thing it was right there in the lines.”
Daly added, “I was all dead inside by the way when I did that.”
Nice save, Tim! The sexy actor has been married for 25 years, although he told us, “My wife is an actress too, and I've had to suffer through a lot of her love scenes as well. It's sort of a perk of being in the business. You get paid once in a while for kissing someone attractive.”
But this isn't the first time Tim and Kate have teamed up for a TV romance. Kate played Tim's ex-wife on the short lived series "Eyes" two years ago.
Meanwhile, Tim is looking for a little love from Emmy voters. He just picked up an Emmy nomination for his role on “The Sopranos.”
Don't miss Tim and Kate's on-screen chemistry when “Private Practice” premieres September 26th.
