Paris About to Appear in Court

The media circus that is growing outside Paris Hilton's Hollywood home is about to spill over into an L.A. courtroom!

Paris has just been ordered to appear in court this morning, according to TMZ.com.

A sheriff's car is already on its way to pick her up and bring her to court for the 9:00 a.m. hearing.

Right now controversy is brewing inside the courtroom between Paris' lawyer, the city attorney, and the sheriff's department over the controversial decision to let Paris go yesterday.

It's not clear if Paris will be ordered back to jail.

The emergency hearing was called after infuriated prosecutors argued that Paris had received special treatment from the sheriff's department.

The judge who sentenced Paris will decide whether the department acted improperly by allowing Paris to go home yesterday and wear an ankle monitor instead of finishing her 23 days in jail.

If she does have to go back, there is no doubt the pampered princess will be devastated.

She was reportedly already planning to host a "Welcome Home" party for herself, and friends and family had already begun setting up balloons and her favorite food.
