Simon Cowell: 'David Is One of the Most Loyal Human Beings'
Simon Cowell came to “Extra” for a sit-down interview declaring nothing but support for his “America's Got Talent” celebrity judge and friend, David Hasselhoff.
The video of Hasselhoff drunk on the floor of his Las Vegas residence topped with his much-publicized child custody fight with his ex-Pamela Bach has put him in the media spotlight.
“David is one of the kindest most loyal human beings I have ever met in my life,” Simon said. “I will stand by David any day of the week.”
On the rumors that he would consider replacing Hasselhoff, Cowell added, “Not in a million years. If he'd gone, I would've gone…we're like that me and David. He's a loyal friend. I don't like to see all this stuff coming out in the public. This is a private matter.”
Cowell also opened up about Melinda Doolittle getting the boot on “American Idol” last week, saying, “I felt very down… I'm entitled to have a personal favorite… But, I did have a hunch… because I think she was the underdog.”
