George Clooney Looks for an 'Ocean' of Support
It's the cause that is close to George Clooney's heart, and now it is getting an entire “Ocean” of support.
The cast and crew of the upcoming “Ocean's 13” is trying to bring attention to the plight of refugees in the troubled region of Darfur in Africa.
George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle and producer Jerry Weintraub have formed the humanitarian organization Not on Our Watch.
“A lot of bad things are happening over here right now,” Clooney said during his famous trip with his father Nick to publicize the thousands of refugees suffering in Darfur.
Now Clooney is using the three North American premieres of “Ocean's 13” to raise money and awareness for those refugees.
The Not on Our Watch Rescue Relief will be spotlighted at the Las Vegas and Chicago premieres of the film.
When it opens in California June 5, the boys of “Ocean” will have their hands and footprints immortalized with fellow Hollywood legends in a special ceremony at the famous Grauman's Chinese Theater.
Yet another example of why people love to root for the “Ocean's” gang – gorgeous and globally aware!
