You Tell Us: Do You Agree with Bill O'Reilly or Geraldo Rivera?
It's Bill O'Reilly and Geraldo Rivera, going at it mano a mano over a heated issue that combined drunk driving and illegal immigration in the U.S.
“He doesn't have a right to be in this country,” O'Reilly said.
“But that has nothing to do with the fact he's a drunk!” Geraldo shot back.
“Yes it does... he should have been deported!” the famously hotheaded O'Reilly snapped.
The conversation got so hot that Bill and Geraldo almost came to blows Thursday night, making it one of primetime's greatest on-air smack downs.
“You want open border anarchy. What I want is fairness. Fairness? Bull!” the men fired at each other angrily.
The passionate exchanges exploded as they discussed two teenage girls killed by an illegal alien drunk driver in Virginia.
While O'Reilly said the man should have been deported, Rivera accused him of turning a drunken driving incident into a political firestorm.
“This guy shouldn't have been here!” O'Reilly said.
“Cool your jets... it has nothing to do with illegal aliens... it has to do with drunk driving,” Geraldo pointed out.
“It doesn't... he should have been deported... don't obscure a tragedy to make a cheap political point. It's a cheap political point... and you know it. This is justice... and you want anarchy,” a red-faced Bill said.
Thankfully, the duel died out before either could test the limits of their temper, and eventually cooler heads prevailed.
“Alright... how much time do we have? One minute... ok... what are you doing on your show this week?” O'Reilly said, in an attempt to change the subject.
Geraldo answered with a laugh, before saying, “Thanks for asking, Bill.”
