Non-Diet Diet Secrets Revealed!
Are you looking for a diet that doesn't make you feel like you're on a diet? Well, “Extra” has your answer!
Hungry Girl's Lisa Lillien unlocks the diet secrets that will let you enjoy everything from doughnuts to chocolate.
Take donuts for examples. You would think a donut is far worse for you than a muffin, right?
“Believe it or not, muffins are way worse,” Lillien revealed. “The average muffin has 500 to 600 calories and probably 20 to 25 grams of fat. A doughnut has about 200 calories and 10 grams of fat. So that's a pretty big difference.”
That substitution alone will save you 400 calories.
Ladies, before you grab that tuna salad for lunch, Lisa warns: it's not a diet food!
“Because of all the mayo it's made with, it can have 300 to 500 calories a serving and as much as 30 grams of fat,” Lillien revealed. “And if you just switch to deli meats, they have a fraction of the fat, and probably around 250 calories a serving.”
If it's a chocolate fix you're after, Lisa recommends opting for hot chocolate.
“Instead of having chocolate cake or a brownie, if you just switch to hot cocoa, you can save hundreds of calories,” she told us.
Lastly, if you drink vitamin water beware!
“This bottle of vitamin water has 150 calories,” Lisa showed us. “If you just had a bottle of regular water and you pop a vitamin in your mouth, that's zero calories.”
