Pop princess Britney Spears and former “Friend” Matthew Perry were out on the town Thursday night.

But are the rumors true that the pair could be more than just friends?

Sources at the Smashbox Cosmetics party told “Extra” the two are just pals.

But curiously, also at the party was hip-hop producer JR Rotem, who has been lined to Brit in several publications.

In other Britney news, “Extra” has learned that Spears just bought a 6-bedroom Beverly Hills mansion for a cool $7 million.
