Could Britney's Partying Ways Hurt Her Custody Battle?
The world just can't stop talking about Britney Spears and Paris Hilton's party train, which has traveled through Vegas and Hollywood.
"They are running wild," Regis Philbin said on "Live." "No clue, no cares, no underwear... meet the party posse of the year!"
But after eight crazy nights, is the party over for Paris and Britney?
While Hilton walked the red carpet with old BFF Nicole Richie in Hollywood Tuesday night, "Extra" spotted Spears at a Malibu Chevron with a new gal pal. The two were then spotted in a hotel lobby.
On Wednesday, reports surfaced that Britney pulled out of co-hosting the Billboard Music Awards with Paris, although Spears' people told us that Britney was never officially confirmed.
Now, facing a backlash from fans on her MySpace page, has Brit dumped Paris so soon?
No -- at least not according to TMZ.com Managing Editor Harvey Levin. "Paris and Britney have become the new Lance Armstrong and Matthew McConaughey," he said. "But that doesn't mean they have to spend every night together."
While "Extra" spotted K-Fed in a suit jacket meeting with his divorce lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan Tuesday night, Levin said that Britney's late night outings won't necessarily cost her custody of the couple's two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
"She is not an unfit mom because she is partying," Levin insisted.
"Extra" is also breaking news about Britney's plans for New Year's. She will ring in 2007 in Las Vegas at the hot spot Pure, where last year Nicky Hilton and Kevin Connolly popped open a $100,000 bottle of champagne.
"A little birdy tells me Paris might join her," revealed Pure owner Steve Davidovici.
