Leonardo DiCaprio: Hollywood's Go-To Man
When we sat down with superstar Leonardo DiCaprio, we discovered a mature, soft-spoken actor who's embracing his leading man status.
The Hollywood heartthrob dished to “Extra” about his new image, which also landed him on People magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list, in the company of pal and cover boy George Clooney.
But how does Leo react to the attention?
“I don't know,” he admitted. “It's not necessarily something that you campaign for, but it's nice.”
Leo also admitted he doesn't mind the attention of the pesky paparazzi, who are constantly tailing him and his beautiful girlfriend, model Bar Rafa'eli.
“I'm not one to complain about any of that stuff,” he said. “It's great to be a working actor is what it is. And I kind of like to hide away in the off season and come out and do some photos, and stuff like that, when I have something to say or show.”
Right now, DiCaprio is showing off his new flick, “Blood Diamond,” the story of a South African mercenary in hot pursuit of a rare pink diamond.
Leo also revealed that he and co-stars Jennifer Connelly and Djimon Hounsou truly suffered for their art in the action scenes.
“My knee got banged up, Jennifer's neck got banged up, Djimon's had a multitude of different injuries,” he said.
