Clooney Claims Coveted Sexiest Man Alive Title
From a "Lost" hunk to a "Housewives" hottie, we've got your first look at People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive of 2006.
For the second time, this year's Sexiest is none other than the gorgeous George Clooney.
"I was also the Sexiest Man Alive in 1997, and if it weren't for pretty boy Pitt, I probably would have taken '98, but he had a better campaign," Clooney joked of his rivalry with two-time Sexiest Man Alive winner Brad Pitt, who also made this year's coveted list.
In the issue, perennial bachelor George dished why he's never had kids, admitting, "I don't have that gene."
Wondering what other hunks made the cut?
Not surprisingly, TV's Dr. McDreamy, Patrick Dempsey, made the list.
People magazine's Robin Micheli revealed it was a neck-in-neck race for the top spot.
"Patrick Dempsey really was a contender for the top slot this year," Micheli dished.
The Sexiest Man Alive list also includes Matthew McConaughey, Owen Wilson, Johnny Depp and Justin Timberlake.
But there's also a newcomer on the sexy block: "Desperate Housewives" hunk Dougray Scott, who's on-screen leading lady, Teri Hatcher, told us, "He just exudes charisma."
"If that's what people think, it's very flattering," the humble actor admitted.
Also on the list is "Las Vegas" looker Josh Duhamel, who confessed to "Extra" which cheesy pick-up line he used to land steady girlfriend, Fergie.
"Cheesiest pick-up line I ever used was, 'You're hot,'" Josh said. "But she's still dating me, so it worked!"
People's Sexiest Man Alive issue hits newsstands Friday.
