From a rockin' nightclub and sexy ladies to a huge surprise cake, it was the party of the year for Nick Lachey over the weekend, and only “Extra” was on the exclusive list to Nick's 33rd birthday bash at the Vegas hotspot, Pure Nightclub.

“It's been a fun week, and also wrapping up the tour here in Vegas,” Nick said. “So it's been kind of a double celebration.”

Nick and girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo celebrated Nick's great year, which included being back on top of the charts with an album he recorded after his dramatic bust up from Jessica Simpson just one year ago.

“It had a passion and had an emotion, just based on the circumstances,” he said.

Nick's painful circumstances are now relatable to what fellow artist Britney Spears is going through.

“She has that quality about her where people want to root for her,” Nick said. “So I think if she puts together a great record, and I'm confident she will, I think she'll be right back to where she was.”

While Nick left no doubt that life is good with his lady love, he didn't reveal any long term plans.

However, the hunky singer did confide to “Extra” that there is one thing missing in his life: children.
