Daniel Sunjata on His Breakout Role on Hit Show 'Notorious'
"Extra's" Charissa Thompson caught up with "Notorious" actor Daniel Sunjata at Universal Studios Hollywood, where he talked about the sexy ABC drama.
Sunjata plays high-powered defense attorney Jake Gregorian on the hit show, his character based on famous defense lawyer Mark Geragos. The storyline centers on a secret relationship between Gregorian and Piper Perabo's TV producer character, Julia George, based on producer Wendy Walker.
How does Sunjata describe the show when people ask? "I tell them it's about the intersection of the worlds of law, criminal defense, and media, and how sometimes alibis and headlines have a symbiotic relationship."
Before snagging the lead on "Notorious," Sunjata got his start in Hollywood on the soap opera "All My Children" and in small roles in movies like “The Devil Wears Prada.” He became familiar to TV viewers for his seven seasons on “Rescue Me."
"Notorious" airs Thursday nights on ABC.
