It’s officially the holiday season! From hot cocoa to eggnog to classic milk and cookies, milk is a special part of the holiday celebrations. Kids and families in need in your community may be missing out on some of those special moments this time of year when they don’t have regular access to milk.
More than 46 million Americans — including 12 million children — are served by Feeding America network food banks each year. Milk is one of the most requested, but least donated, items at food banks — especially during the holidays, when food banks can be even busier.
This holiday season, join Feeding America in the Great American Milk Drive to help deliver highly desired and nutrient-rich gallons of milk to hungry children and families who need it most.
Thanks to the generosity of donors across the country, the Great American Milk Drive has delivered more than 1.8 million gallons of milk to food banks through this first-of-its-kind national program. That’s over 28 million servings! Yet, there’s still more to do.
You can join the fight against hunger by helping the Great American Milk Drive reach its goal of 2 million gallons of milk donated to children and families who don’t have regular access to it. That’s 32 million servings!
