Last week, “Bachelor Nation” was shocked when news broke of Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth’s split.
"Extra’s” Mario Lopez spoke with “The Bachelorette” host Chris Harrison, who knew there was trouble in paradise. He revealed, “I’m in very close contact with Kaitlyn, she is a very good friend of mine… I knew that they were struggling privately, I knew they were really trying to work it out.”
“I was kind of like a counselor off-air talking to her and trying to help them cause they were really fighting for it, trying to make it work, and then eventually they just had to come to the inevitable conclusion it’s not going to work and go their separate ways,” Harrison added.
Harrison also dished on the newest “Bachelor,” Colton Underwood, who is still a virgin while filming his season. Along with pointing out that Colton hasn’t hit the fantasy suite dates yet, Chris commented, “The V card is still intact — will it be in the next couple weeks? I don’t know. I think it will be put to the test.”
He went on to say, “One thing I will also say about his virginity, it kind of became a cocktail joke and we are going to deal with that on the show and deal with why he is the way he is and why he’s chosen to be the way he is. ”
Colton’s decision to abstain goes deeper than being religious. Chris explained, “It also had to do with prior relationships and situations.”
The host is celebrating another milestone on his other show, “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.” He shared, “It's our $100-million celebration — over the history of the show, we have given away $100 million.”
The show is airing special episodes, including “honoring those men and women that served in our armed forces victories for Veterans' Week.” He continued, “They bring back men and women that have served and they have a real shot at making life-changing money.”
