How Julia Roberts Honored Her Best Friend at ‘Homecoming’ Premiere

Wednesday night, Julia was all smiles as she premiered her first-ever TV series, “Homecoming.”

Roberts crashed “Extra's” interview with her co-star and friend for over 20 years, Dermot Mulroney, surprising him and our correspondent Tanika Ray.

The star looked fabulous as always, wearing a hot-pink Brandon Maxwell blouse and pants.

She revealed, “My best friend Paige — who Dermot knows very well — is a breast cancer survivor, so this is my little ode to Paige tonight. My love letter to her.”

Roberts showed off her fashion sense just days after wearing a matching Givenchy pantsuit to present her stylist Elizabeth Stewart with an InStyle Award. She commented, “Menswear, I do love menswear.”

Roberts and Mulroney previously worked together in “My Best Friend's Wedding” then “August, Osage County." Julia loved working with Dermot in "Homecoming," saying, “Third time's the charm. I finally got my revenge.”

Mulroney plays her boyfriend in the Amazon Prime drama, which is about a facility that helps soldiers transition back into civilian life. As for why she chose the TV series, directed and executive-produced by "Mr. Robot" creator Sam Esmail, she teased, “The proof is in the pudding.” Dermot smiled, saying, “Impeccable taste.”

The co-stars are getting ready to celebrate their birthdays, Julia's October 28 and Dermot's October 31. "A few days apart," Julia said. "We can't be that adorable.”
