Last night, Keanu Reeves hit the red carpet at the NYC premiere of his upcoming movie “Siberia,” giving an update on the third “Bill & Ted” movie “Bill & Ted Face the Music.”
Reeves, who played Ted in the 1989 classic, shared, “It's been like seven years. It gets, like, I'm told, 'Yeah, we're doing it,' and then I don't know if we're doing it… It would be fun to play that character, it would be great to work with Alex Winter again and, you know, if the movie gods say it will be, then that would be most excellent!”
The 53-year-old actor was enjoying his night, waxing nostalgic about "being in the city, having a premiere in the city... lower east side.”
"Siberia," he said, is “a love story, a tragic love story." In the movie, Keanu plays a diamond dealer whose life is spiralling out of control when he meets and falls in love with a Russian café owner played by Romanian actress Ana Ularu.
He gushed about his co-star, saying, “Lovely, fantastic actress and, you know, we have a lot of scenes that are quite intimate and we had a real trust together and a rapport and, I don't know, I thought we made a nice couple.”
Keanu has also been busy working on his upcoming film “John Wick 3.” He dished, “John Wick's fighting for his life. We're gonna learn a little bit more about John Wick and his past. There are some great new characters… and hopefully people will like what we're doing, 'cause it's crazy.”
“Siberia” is in theaters Friday.
