They rekindled their romance a few months ago, but Chris Evans and Jenny Slate have called it quits again!
In a new interview with The New York Times, Evans confirmed that they broke up recently. While they were dating, he read Rebecca Solnit’s “The Mother of All Questions” to help him be a better ally for women in his profession.
Evans said the book made him realize that he needed to listen more. He emphasized, “The hardest thing to reconcile is that just because you have good intentions, doesn’t mean it’s your time to have a voice.”
Though he’s found huge success as Captain America in the Marvel franchise films, Chris is enjoying time away from movie sets and even wants to start a family of his own eventually. He shared, “When I think about the times that I’m happiest, it’s not on a movie set. I’ve stopped thinking about my trajectory, or my oeuvre, or whatever pretentious word you want to use. I’m just following whatever I feel creatively hungry for.”
Evans and Slate sparked reconciliation rumors after they were spotted together in October. To fuel the rumors, they were also flirting on Twitter and spent the holidays together.
They met on the set of their film “Gifted” in 2016, and "Extra" interviewed them on the press tour. Watch!
