Ryan Seacrest Attracts Fewer Stars on Oscars 2018 Red Carpet

After being accused of sexual harassment by a former stylist, Ryan Seacrest mingled with fewer A-listers this year at the 2018 Academy Awards.

Ahead of the show, many stars, including Jennifer Lawrence, were reportedly torn on whether they would stop to speak with Seacrest on the red carpet.

On Sunday, Seacrest landed his first interview for E!'s red carpet show with Disney star Sofia Carson, who discussed her Oscar predictions.

Seacrest also spoke to his “Live!” co-host Kelly Ripa, who showed her support for him. Along with complimenting his look, Kelly said, “I just want you to know, you are a privilege to work with and I adore you.”

Ryan was able to interview Oscars nominees Allison Janney and Christopher Plummer, who were both nominated for their supporting roles.

Some of the other stars to chat with Ryan include Eiza González, Mary J. Blige, Tiffany Haddish and Taraji P. Henson.

Ryan’s interview with Taraji had social media buzzing! Though she stroked his chin, many felt that she made a slight dig at him when she went to her next interview.

She told ABC’s Wendi McLendon-Covey, “I’m great now that I’m in your company.”

Taraji shut down rumors that she shaded Ryan, telling People magazine that her comments were "misconstrued."

Oscar performers Common and Andra Day also did a joint interview with Ryan.

Earlier this week, Jimmy Kimmel revealed that he would do an interview with Seacrest after the show. He told Variety, “We should at the very least afford people the opportunity for truth, what the facts of the story are, before hanging them out to dry.”

Kris Jenner and Khloé Kardashian showed their support for Ryan on Twitter.

Kris tweeted, "Oscar Sunday wouldn’t be the same without you @ryanseacrest @giulianarancic!! Can’t WAIT to watch you on the Red Carpet tonight!! I look forward to this night every year! I’m so proud of you!! #BFF #beautifulheart #E! #TheOscars #Oscars2018 #AcademyAwards #AcademyAwards2018."

Seacrest has vehemently denied the allegations.
