The statement continued, “Prince Harry and Ms. Markle have invited 2,640 people into the grounds of Windsor Castle to watch the arrivals of the Bride and Groom, and their wedding guests, at the chapel and to watch the carriage procession as it departs from the castle.”
Who will score the invite of a lifetime? The palace is asking for nominations from regional Lord Lieutenant offices, and hoping to pick 1,200 people from a broad range of backgrounds and ages.
Others will be chosen from charities and organization close to the couple, as well as pupils from local schools, members of the community and the Royal Household staff and others.
Harry and Meghan will tie the knot on May 19 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
