Last night, Sarah Jessica Parker made an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” addressing the possibility of filming “Sex and the City 3” in spite of the recent drama with Kim Cattrall.
In September, Parker told “Extra” that the third film had been scrapped. At the time, it was reported that Parker’s co-star Kim Cattrall’s demands were what caused the collapse of a third film, which Cattrall has denied.
Would SJP do a third film without the original Samantha Jones? She said, “I think once everybody has thoroughly experienced the grieving process, then Michael Patrick can go back and sort of ponder what he might want to do and how he might want to proceed.”
“That’s the most clear answer I’ve given yet,” Sarah added.
When Andy asked about Sarah’s opinion on Sharon Stone assuming the role of Samantha, the 53-year-old answered, “I think it’s a really interesting idea.”
Stone is playing a similar character in her upcoming movie "All I Wish." Watch the trailer below.
Sarah also weighed in on Kim’s recent comments that they were never friends. The “heartbroken” Parker shared, “I found it very upsetting. That’s not the way I recall our experience. So it’s sad. But I always think that what ties us together is this singular experience. It was a professional experience, but it became personal because it was years and years of our life.” Watch!
