“Extra’s” Social Media Correspondent Hannah Kahn was with Meghan Trainor today, talking about fiancé Daryl Sabara’s magical birthday proposal.
Trainor, fresh off the debut of her new FOX show “The Four,” told Hannah that she had to remind herself to breathe when Daryl popped the question. “I couldn’t really see, I kind of blacked out. I was crying so hard and I just knew, ‘Put your hand out.’” She went on, “The video that we put out has my song playing, but I was screaming, crying.”
Trainor revealed about her sparkler, “We picked out the ring together and we knew we were going to get married from month one. We kind of always talked about it and waited a year and a half and discussed it.” She continued, “While we were writing songs in Nashville, I was like, 'Let’s just go look, let’s just go look at the style I want so I can help you out,' and I saw this and I was like, let’s just get it to be safe about it and never have to worry about it again.”
She explained Daryl made her promise he could still do a big proposal. “So it was in my bathroom waiting for like a half a year.” The artist was truly surprised when he got down on one knee during a birthday getaway.
Now, Meghan is back to work , finishing her latest album, and as a judge on “The Four.” She even watched last night’s premiere twice – once with her fellow judges and then at home.
Watch “The Four” on Thursdays at 8 p.m. on FOX.
