“Smithsonian Rock and Roll” is the perfect gift for any rock music fan!
The new coffee table book offers a visual history of the genre through the audience’s camera lens.
It all began in 2015 when the Smithsonian asked for submissions from fans. More than 4,000 photos were collected, and the project eventually evolved into a 200-page book.
Author Bill Bentley, former VP of Warner Bros. and A&R Director at Concord, brought decades of industry expertise to the endeavor.
“Extra’s” Senior Music Correspondent Adam Weissler calls Bentley’s book, “A treasure to relish – hours of enjoyment for anyone who loves the full spectrum of rock music, with history, context and pure love.”
