Fresh off a triumphant appearance at this year's CMAs last week, country superstar Carrie Underwood is recovering following what her rep describes as a "hard fall" at home.
In a statement to "Extra," Carrie's rep said:
"Last night, Carrie Underwood took a hard fall on some steps outside her home. While there were no life-threatening injuries, she was taken to the hospital to be treated. She sustained multiple injuries including a broken wrist and some cuts and abrasions from the fall. Her husband, Mike Fisher, was able to make it back into town overnight to be with her and she has since been released from the hospital. Her recovery will take some time and she appreciates all prayers and well wishes."
News Channel 5 reports Underwood's injury has made her scheduled appearance at Sunday's Country Rising concert impossible.
