The world is about to get a whole lot stranger. The highly anticipated second season of the Netflix hit “Stranger Things” streams tomorrow, and only “Extra” was on the set with the cast in Atlanta.
Special correspondent Alecia Davis got the cast to spill on some secrets and spoilers. What we know is that Millie Bobby Brown’s character Eleven is alive and Noah Schnapp’s character Will is in even more danger.
Millie revealed, “It's a lot darker than before. We go into Eleven's backstory, which is really fun. And that’s all I can really say... Netflix is going to call us up and say, 'You’ve said too much!'”
Noah teased, “It’s darker, it kind of shows the aftermath of Will’s return. That’s all we can say."
What we also know… this season is focused on Halloween, with the cast having fun with one another on set. Noah shared, “We prank each other.” Millie chimed in, “We're really close.”
Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas, also dished on the season, saying, "We're older.” Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin, emphasized, “One year.” As for the season living up to the hype, Gaten said, “We really hope so.”
David Harbour, who stars as Sheriff Hopper, also commented on the second season, saying, “The stuff we're dealing with is a lot of the aftermath of what happened in Season 1… I wish I could tell you the first five minutes of Season 2 because it's so good.”
