On Thursday, “Extra’s” Renee Bargh spoke with Halle Berry just moments after the Oscar-winning actress downed half a pint of whiskey during the panel for her new movie "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" at Comic-Con.
The star smiled, saying, “I just chugged some bourbon on stage. I think I can outdrink my counterparts.” Her co-star Channing Tatum was the ring leader of the panel drinking game. Once she spotted him on the press line, she told Renee, “He poured it.”
In the action-packed spy movie, Halle plays Ginger, the brains of the operation. She revealed, ”Matthew [Vaughn] gave me the chance to do something different, and any time I get to learn and grow as an artist I’m always down to do it. It was just finding a hairstyle and the proper glasses — like, making her a proper geek.”
As a past Bond girl, Berry said the comparisons to “Kingsman” and James Bond movies are accurate, explaining, “It’s Bond on steroids, like 2.0.”
Weighing in on rumors that Charlize Theron could actually play Bond in a movie, Halle commented, “This is the year of Gal Gadot so anything can happen.”
Along with “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” Halle said she is “really excited" for the release of her summer thriller “Kidnapped.”
