Former teen heartthrob Aaron Carter was arrested Saturday in Cornelia, Georgia, on suspicion of driving under the influence and for possession of marijuana and drug-related objects.
Carter's girlfriend, photographer Madison Parker, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug-related objects, as well as for obstruction.
According to a statement provided to "Extra" by the Habersham County Sheriff's Office, all the charges are misdemeanors, both pot charges are for possession of less than an ounce, and the couple has "not been processed into the jail yet and the report is not complete."
Before the arrest, Carter's staff had posted an apology on Twitter stating he was going to miss a Kansas City show "due to transportation issues."

After his arrest, his account was still promoting a meet-and-greet and acoustic performance scheduled for July 18 in Birmingham, Alabama.
The "I Want Candy" singer, the younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, opened up in a rare TV interview on "Oprah: Where Are They Now" in October 2016, remembering issues with depression and drinking, and even a stint at the Betty Ford Center.
Carter's sister Leslie Carter overdosed on a variety of drugs and died at 25 in 2012.
