Daniel Day-Lewis reportedly has a new career!
The two-time Oscar winner, who announced his retirement from acting earlier this month, is rumored to be joining the fashion industry.
A source tells PageSix that Day-Lewis plans to become an haute couture dressmaker.
The Method actor is said to have learned about couture fashion while preparing for his final film, “Phantom Thread.” The movie, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, opens in theaters December 25.
According to Variety, “The new movie is a drama set in the couture world of 1950s London. The story illuminates the life behind the curtain of an uncompromising dressmaker commissioned by royalty and high society.”
The 60-year-old took a five-year break from acting in the ‘90s to work as a cobbler at an Italian shoe factory.
