According to a Sanford Police Department Facebook post, Nick Gordon — the ex-boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown — was arrested and charged with battery - touch or strike (domestic) and false imprisonment after an incident in Florida on Saturday.
Sanford Police responded to a report of domestic violence at a residence in Sanford, Florida. A female alleged she had been "hit and punched by her 'live-in' boyfriend."
Police spoke with Gordon at a local clubhouse near the residence.
Based on the information they were told, police took Gordon into custody.
In November 2016, a judge ordered Gordon to pay Bobbi Kristina's family $36 million for her wrongful death after he had ignored for months a civil lawsuit brought against him by the family. In September, Gordon had been deemed "legally responsible" for Bobbi Kristina's death.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, died at age 22 in July 2015 several months after being discovered face-down in a bathtub at her home.
Her mother, Whitney Houston died at 48 in February 2012 after being found submerged in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
