Actor Eric Dane is taking a break from shooting his TNT show “The Last Ship” to take care of some personal business.
His reps said in a statement to People magazine, "Eric asked for a break to deal with personal issues. He suffers from depression and has asked for a few weeks of downtime and the producers kindly granted that request. He looks forward to returning.”
While Dane is dealing with his depression, production on the show has been temporarily shut down through Memorial Day. The show’s fourth season is set to premiere in summer.
In the past, Dane has been open about his personal issues, even going to rehab for an addiction to painkillers in 2011.
Three years ago, he told People, "We’ve all made mistakes. I honestly think I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be at this moment in time. And I’m really happy.”
