Lady Gaga played her headlining Coachella gig last night, Pitchfork reports, treating the crowd to 90 minutes of hits, choreography, and new stuff from her recent album "Joanne," performing 18 songs in all.
Speaking of new stuff, halfway through the show, Gaga excitedly announced the debut of a brand-new single, saying she'd been keeping it "a secret for so long."
"The Cure," a light, mid-tempo pop tune, represents a departure from "Joanne's" dark, countrified rock.
Gaga had replaced Beyoncé as the festival's headliner when Beyoncé announced she was pregnant with twins. Later in 2017, Gaga launches a massive world tour on the heels of her acclaimed Super Bowl halftime performance.
