Sib Hashian, drummer for rock band Boston, has died at the age of 67.
His son Adam told TMZ that Hashian collapsed onstage while performing on a cruise ship Wednesday night. Soon after his fall, CPR was performed in an attempt to resuscitate the musician, but all efforts were unsuccessful. A defibrillator was also used to try and save his life.
Hashian was on the Legends of Rock Cruise, which kicked off March 18 in Florida. The cruise had stops in Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.
Despite his death, the cruise will journey on, with tributes to him planned for Thursday.
His daughter Lauren, who is dating Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has not commented on his sudden passing.
Boston is known for hits like “More Than a Feeling” (1976) and “Amanda,” a #1 smash (1986).
