Sylvester Stallone’s daughters may have been named Miss Golden Globe, and he may have been presenting, but that did not wind up guaranteeing him a seat at the show!
When Sylvester and his wife Jennifer Flavin arrived to their assigned seats, there was only one chair available. The couple was slated to sit with “Manchester by the Sea” actor Casey Affleck, producer Matt Damon and writer-director Kenneth Lonergan.
Sources told People that no one made an attempt to move or accommodate the couple, forcing them to find seating in the green room. The source said, “There weren’t enough seats and so there was confusion, but it wasn’t personal against him.”
People also reported that after Affleck won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama, he and the “Rocky” star crossed paths and Affleck attempted to apologize.
Sylvester’s reps responded to the report by saying, "The story you refer to is an interesting rumor — but a rumor nonetheless. Sylvester Stallone had a wonderful evening attending and presenting at the Golden Globes and celebrating with his family and friends.”
